CONSERVATORS - IN THE THICK OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Fight Against Debris - Mesophotic Zone
When our team discovered a massive
ghost net sprawling over an entire reef system at 60m, Mission: Saving Batu Niti was born.
But during our investigations, we discovered many more fragments of the same net snagged in the shallows. We mobilised a team of divers to remove a 150kg of ghost nets, saving an ecosystem from total annihilation.

Coral Survey & Data Science - Mesophotic Zone
Our Mesophotic Zone Research Program in Bali offers a rare opportunity to dive deeper into marine science—literally and academically. This cutting-edge program is the only one of its kind globally, where participants are trained in technical diving with RAID to safely reach depths of up to 50 meters in the ocean’s mesophotic zone.

Participants learn advanced diving techniques and take part in pioneering survey work in one of the least-studied marine environments on Earth. At these depths, you’ll collect data on deep coral ecosystems, assess species diversity, and help build baseline knowledge that can inform global conservation efforts. Because mesophotic zone studies are so limited, your contributions will be part of truly groundbreaking research.

You’ll also gain skills in underwater data collection, scientific diving protocols, and reef monitoring methods adapted specifically for deep environments. This program is ideal for students and professionals in marine biology, diving science, or environmental research along with any ocean passionate individuals who want to be on the frontier of marine conservation.

Marine conservation missions start with a deliberate and disciplined collection of data.

Coral Survey & Data Science - Shallow Marine Conservation Program
Join our program to find out how to conduct coral and species identification surveys, collect scientific data, and raise awareness about marine ecosystems. We offer participants the chance to contribute directly to vital reef restoration and ocean protection efforts while gaining internationally recognized diving certifications. Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your PADI qualifications, this program provides the training and experience needed to conduct real-world marine conservation work. You’ll also engage in land-based activities, including data analysis and project work tailored personally to your passions.
This is a hands-on, immersive experience ideal for students, early-career scientists, or anyone passionate about the ocean and sustainability. By participating, you'll help build a healthier future for Bali’s marine ecosystems while developing valuable skills in conservation diving, ecological monitoring, and environmental education.
